Le sud de la France, pr\u00e8s de la mer M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e<\/a>, est le domaine de vastes \u00e9tangs d\u2019eau sal\u00e9e, peu profonds qui sont un lieu de s\u00e9jour id\u00e9al pour le flamant rose parce qu\u2019 il se nourrit de crevettes, d\u2019algues et d\u2019insectes qu\u2019il trouve au fond de ces \u00e9tangs. La couleur rose provient de la crevette appel\u00e9e \"Artemia salina<\/a>\" et de l'algue rose appel\u00e9e \"Dunaliella salina<\/a>\". Les flamants roses sont d\u2019abord gris quand ils sont jeunes et deviennent rose apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 3 ans en adoptant la nourriture des adultes. Les flamants roses se reproduisaient tous dans\u00a0 l'\u00e9tang de Fangassier<\/a>, en Camargue<\/a>, jusque l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2020. Depuis cette date, pour des raisons encore myst\u00e9rieuses, la nidification se fait dans les \u00e9tangs d\u2019Aigues-Mortes<\/a>, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 la limite ouest de la Camargue.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ensuite, les flamants roses migrent. Nous les retrouvons dans toute l\u2019Europe du sud et m\u00eame en Afrique du nord. Pendant plusieurs jours, je les ai photographi\u00e9s dans les \u00e9tangs situ\u00e9s pr\u00e8s de S\u00e8te (Etang de Thau<\/a>, \u00e9tang d'Ingril, \u00e9tang d'Arnel<\/a>) o\u00f9 ils s\u00e9journent pendant la p\u00e9riode d\u2019hiver. Durant cette p\u00e9riode, les flamants roses font des parades nuptiales : ils sont en petits groupes et d\u00e9ploient beaucoup d\u2019effort pour se faire remarquer par leurs cong\u00e9n\u00e8res. Pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, cela passe par des frottements de cou, des grognements, la t\u00eate haute, des d\u00e9ploiements de plumage. Finalement, le but est de former un couple qui ira, quelques semaines plus tard, se reproduire dans un \u00e9tang de Camargue.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On peut remarquer que certains flamants ont une bague avec une inscription \u00e0 la patte. Le num\u00e9ro d\u2019inscription permet de suivre l\u2019histoire du flamant. Dans l\u2019\u00e9tang d\u2019Ingril des flamants roses portent les premi\u00e8res bagues qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises \u00e0 la patte des flamants roses c'est-\u00e0-dire il y a 45 ans !<\/p>

Les flamants roses ne sont pas les seuls oiseaux \u00e0 fr\u00e9quenter ces lieux. En effet, on a recens\u00e9 130 esp\u00e8ces d\u2019oiseaux pr\u00e8s de l\u2019\u00e9tang d\u2019Ingril dans les anciens salins<\/a> de Frontignan. Quelques uns d'entre eux passent l'hiver dans cet endroit comme le go\u00e9land d'Audoin<\/a>, d'autres vivent l\u00e0 toute l'ann\u00e9e comme l' aigrette garzette<\/a> et enfin certains se reproduisent dans cet endroit comme la mouette rieuse<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
