L'\u00e9tang de Thau est situ\u00e9 dans le sud de la France pr\u00e8s de S\u00e8te<\/a>. C\u2019est une lagune de 19 km de long, 8 km de large et 5 m de profondeur. Elle est reli\u00e9e \u00e0 la mer M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e par des canaux, ce qui explique que l\u2019eau est sal\u00e9e. C\u2019est un espace maritime prot\u00e9g\u00e9 o\u00f9 vivent plusieurs esp\u00e8ces d\u2019oiseaux comme les flamands roses, les aigrettes, les mouettes , les \u00e9chasses blanches. \nOn y pratique la conchyliculture. Deux mille personnes vivent de cet \u00e9levage d\u2019hu\u00eetres et de moules dans l\u2019\u00e9tang de Thau. Le matin tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t, avant le lever du soleil , on assiste au va et vient des barques de conchyliculteurs entre l\u2019atelier de nettoyage sur la berge \u00e0 Bouzigues<\/a> et les tables au milieu de l'\u00e9tang. Les conchyculteurs<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 doivent prendre les huitres qui sont accroch\u00e9es sous les tables et les distribuer dans les restaurants, t\u00f4t le matin, apr\u00e8s les avoir nettoyer.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

L\u2019\u00e9tang est aussi un lieu de vill\u00e9giature. On y pratique la voile et la p\u00eache principalement pour le plaisir et cultiver un art de vivre.<\/p>

A la fin de l'apr\u00e8s-midi, sur les bords de Balaruc les Bains<\/a> et Balaruc le Vieux<\/a>, les mouettes tourbillonnent dans le ciel et rasent la surface de l\u2019eau \u00e0 la recherche de poissons. Le vent est tomb\u00e9. L\u2019atmosph\u00e8re est douce et calme. Le soleil se refl\u00e8te dans l\u2019eau de l\u2019\u00e9tang et nous offre des lumi\u00e8res et des couleurs extraordinaires. Le paysage change constamment jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la tomb\u00e9e de la nuit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Pr\u00e8s de la ville de\u00a0 Frontignan<\/a>, il y a une autre lagune qui est un prolongement de la lagune de Thau: c'est l'\u00e9tang d' Ingril<\/a>. Cet \u00e9tang a 7 km de long et est beaucoup moins profond que l\u2019\u00e9tang de Thau. C\u2019\u00e9tait autrefois un marais salant. On peut le traverser \u00e0 pied en ayant de l\u2019eau au maximum jusqu\u2019aux genoux. C\u2019est une r\u00e9serve naturelle pour de nombreux oiseaux comme les flamands roses, les h\u00e9rons, les grues. Au coucher du soleil, par temps calme, le reflet de la lumi\u00e8re dans l'eau vous emm\u00e8ne dans une atmosph\u00e8re changeante en permanence. A Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-Maguelonne<\/a>, un autre \u00e9tang vous attend : l'\u00e9tang d'Arnel.
