S\u00e8te est un port de p\u00eache sur la c\u00f4te m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne dans le sud de la France. Elle est qualifi\u00e9e d'\u00eele singuli\u00e8re par le grand po\u00e8te fran\u00e7ais Paul Val\u00e9ry<\/a>. En effet c'est une p\u00e9ninsule, baign\u00e9e entre la mer m\u00e9diterran\u00e9e et la lagune de Thau<\/a> et qui a un ind\u00e9niable charme.<\/span><\/span> En plus, l'eau est partout pr\u00e9sente et les canaux la traversent en son centre. C'est la raison pour laquelle S\u00e8te et ses canaux est appel\u00e9e la Venise du Languedoc.<\/p>

Une colline de 180 m\u00e8tres d\u00e9nomm\u00e9e Mont Saint-Clair<\/a>, s'\u00e9l\u00e8ve au milieu de la cit\u00e9. Au sommet de cette colline, un panorama exceptionnel sur la mer et la lagune de Thau est offert aux visiteurs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

S\u00e8te est une ville populaire li\u00e9e \u00e0 la marine et la tradition de la p\u00eache. C'est un moment festif, accompagn\u00e9 de beaucoup de musique. Cela dure toute l'apr\u00e8s-midi et l'apoth\u00e9ose est la d\u00e9signation du vainqueur de la cat\u00e9gorie des poids lourds en fin d'apr\u00e8s-midi.<\/p>

C\u2019est aussi une ville culturelle qui a vu na\u00eetre de grands artistes comme Paul Val\u00e9ry, Jean Vilar<\/a> ou encore de la Georges Brassens<\/a>. Les deux premiers sont enterr\u00e9s dans le cimeti\u00e8re marin<\/a>. Le march\u00e9 couvert est un lieu tr\u00e8s vivant o\u00f9 regorgent les \u00e9tales de poissons et de fruits de mer. En attendant que les \u00e9pouses fassent les achats pour le repas de midi, les maris s\u2019installent \u00e0 la terrasse du bistrot du march\u00e9 et commentent les derni\u00e8res nouvelles en sirotant le pastis<\/a>, l'ap\u00e9ritif pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 des gens du sud de la France.<\/p>

La ville de S\u00e8te est prolong\u00e9e par un lido<\/a> de 20 km qui s\u00e9pare l\u2019\u00e9tang de Thau de la mer.
